KumKum Game Ranch (derived from the Bushman-Koi-Koi word for the Goum-Goum rapids in the river) lies on Namibia's most Southern tip on the Orange River (Great Garieb) bordering South Africa.
This river is well known for itís big fish and also for the richest diamond fields in the world where it mouths out into the cold Atlantic Ocean on the West coast.

Springbuck, Steenbuck, Red Hartebeest, Cape Eland, Kalahari Gemsbuck/Oryx, Jackal, Lynx, Baboon, Dassies Ostrich and other mammals.
KumKum is just over two hours drive from the world famous Fish River Canyon to the west and Augrabies Falls to the East.
KumKum is also home to a wide variety of birds including the magnificent Black Eagle, the Batteleur, Fish Eagle, Rosy Cheek Lovebird
and many others. There are also a large variety of plants of which species like the pagipodium (Half-mens) and lithops are very rare.
KumKum is a haven for geologists having an abundance and variety of minerals and semi-precious stones.
